SugarReset Ingredients: Complete Formula Breakdown by Category

Our main review lists every SugarReset ingredient exactly as it appears on the supplement facts label. This guide goes a level deeper, grouping the formula by function and adding the research context we couldn't fit into a single table.

Quick reminder on dosing

Only chromium (0.7 mcg) has a disclosed individual amount. The remaining 22 ingredients sit inside a 200 mg proprietary blend with no per-ingredient breakdown. Everything below describes what these ingredients are studied for in general — not what SugarReset's specific dose of each one does, which can't be determined from the label. See our dedicated proprietary blend guide for more on why that distinction matters.

The One Disclosed Mineral: Chromium

Chromium (as chromium picolinate) — 0.7 mcg (2% DV). Chromium is an essential trace mineral studied for a possible role in how insulin signals cells to take up glucose. Research results have been inconsistent enough that the American Diabetes Association does not currently recommend chromium supplements specifically for blood sugar management. At 0.7 mcg, SugarReset's dose is modest relative to typical supplemental chromium products, which often use hundreds of micrograms.

Energy & Adaptogen Botanicals

Several ingredients in the 200 mg blend are commonly grouped as adaptogens or energy-support botanicals: maca root extract, eleutherococcus senticosus (Siberian ginseng) root extract, panax ginseng aerial extract, and guarana seed extract (a natural source of caffeine). These are traditionally used for stamina and stress resilience, with a mix of preliminary human and animal research behind them. If you're sensitive to caffeine, note that guarana contributes an unstated amount of caffeine to the blend — the label doesn't disclose a milligram figure for total caffeine content.

Metabolic-Support Botanicals

Gymnema leaf extract, green tea (Camellia sinensis) leaf extract, African mango (Irvingia gabonensis) seed extract, and coleus forskohlii root extract are the ingredients most directly tied to the "glucose and metabolic balance" positioning. Gymnema has a long history in traditional use around sugar cravings and has some small human studies behind it. Green tea catechins have more robust general antioxidant research than glucose-specific research. African mango and coleus forskohlii both have limited but ongoing human research, mostly focused on weight and metabolism rather than glucose specifically.

Antioxidant-Associated Extracts

Grape (Vitis vinifera) seed extract, grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) fruit extract, and raspberry ketones round out the plant-extract portion of the blend. These are typically included in wellness formulas for antioxidant or metabolism-support reputations; raspberry ketones in particular are popular in supplements but have limited human clinical data — most of the interest stems from animal and cell-based research.

A grapefruit note worth knowing

Grapefruit and grapefruit extract are well known to interact with a range of prescription medications by affecting how the liver metabolizes them. If you take any medication with a grapefruit warning on the label, mention SugarReset to your pharmacist or doctor before starting it.

Amino Acids in the Blend

The formula also includes L-glutamine, L-tyrosine, L-arginine, beta-alanine, GABA, L-ornithine HCl, L-tryptophan, and L-carnitine — a broad amino acid profile associated in wellness literature with energy metabolism, mood, and stress response. Amino acids like these appear in many multi-ingredient wellness blends; at undisclosed doses inside a 200 mg total, it's not possible to say whether any one of them is present at a level shown to do anything specific in isolated research.

One Ingredient Worth a Specific Mention: Monoammonium Glycyrrhizinate

This is a licorice-root-derived compound, often used in small amounts as a flavoring or extract in supplements. Licorice compounds, in larger amounts over time, have been associated with blood pressure increases and potassium loss in sensitive individuals. The amount in SugarReset is undisclosed within the proprietary blend, and licorice-derived ingredients are commonly used at very low levels for flavor rather than as an active dose — but if you have blood pressure concerns, it's a reasonable thing to flag to your doctor along with the rest of the formula.

Other (Non-Active) Ingredients

Glycerin, water, organic lemon extract, stevia extract 97% (Reb A), xylitol, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, and citric acid make up the liquid base, sweetening, and preservative system. None of these are part of the "active" blend — they're what makes the product a stable, flavored liquid rather than the ingredients doing the intended wellness work.
